Teaching is a great joy for me.  My approach is holistic and creative by nature, meeting each student where they are. Music is an exploration of the senses, a process where we learn to honor our authentic human experience. We acquire skills in self-awareness, confidence, collaboration, and discipline. Music is therapeutic to the student, teacher, performer, and listener. I have had a long interest in the use of music on the brain.

For my violin students, I use the foundation of Suzuki pedagogy technique. This unique style of learning is based on the idea that any child can learn music. Through ear training, repetition, and care, we are able to grow whole humans. I also integrate body-mind exercises as part of the training.  For more advanced students, I use a variety of methods to help you meet your goals.

For my voice students, I offer a somatic approach to learning, as your body is your instrument. The great mystery and magic of singing is that it is built with flesh and bones! My experience with speech therapy, vocal pedagogy, and classical techniques are applied to a variety of styles.  I aim to build your voice in a safe, healthy, and fun environment. Whether your goal is to sing your favorite tune, or want to learn Puccini, I can help you on your path.
