“Sir" Ollie was my Soul Dog and star of my world and heart. I want to thank him for being my greatest teacher, wise companion, and the absolute love of my life. May 3, 2010-Sept 1, 2025. Until we meet again.
Classical music was my first obsession; completely intoxicated by opera and orchestral works at a young age. In my early twenties, I went to Europe and lived as a bohemian artist. Then, I moved into a life of being a military musician, which has brought me strength, friendship, and humility through intense performing and travel. The unusual nature of my lifestyle continues to push me towards artistic exploration.
I believe that art and music are medicine for the soul. Creativity can heal communities, foster wellness, and bring transformative justice. I have long-standing interests in music as a healing modality, unlocking the mind, body, and spirit. My curiosity with zoo-musicology continues to be an ongoing passion project, bridging together sound and the human-animal bond.
As a highly sensitive person, my discovery process is both intuitive and researched. A lifelong dedication to the discipline of music has led me to study from an interdisciplinary lens. However, the most important lessons I have ever learned were through loving and losing my heart dog, Ollie. I'm inspired by the whimsical nature of reality and drawn to nature as a space of renewal and authenticity.
